27th September 2006 Windsurfing: Eastbourne - Spray Wind Direction: SW-SSW Wind Stength: 12-16knots ish Surf / Sea State: flattish, typical coastal Air Temperature: fine Sea Temperature: fine Weather: fine Max Speed: Distance Covered: Spray Watersports, Eastbourne (by way of a change), I grabbed a short lunchtime session (3S 97 & 6.4m Remedy) cut short as I needed to be elsewhere (meeting Bob from 4boards to grab 'loan' board in exchange for my bruised Manta for the Tenby event this weekend - thanks mate ). Needed a little work to stay upwind as tide was running with the wind, otherwise nice little session, planing 95% of the time, just nice to get wet to be honest, water's still warm too ! ps ... looked like Morris and his crowd were heading out as i went in, and I know PaulP & Gutted scored a session at Spray later on too pps ... wind was mainly cross-shore (west - east direction) with slight hint of cross-on (SW-SSW). It was a bit cleaner a few hunded metres out which enabled good upwind progress to be made, plus a few fun jumps etc. |
